Get a free quote from our experienced team of estimators for the Design, Supply & Installation with an expected lead time and both manufacturing and installation programmes for your upcoming project.

DESIGN

Precision manufacturing using light gauge steel enables us to design and build more durable structures which are built to last, while manufacturing them quickly and efficiently.

SHOP DRAWING

Using 3D BIM modelling software for light gauge steel framing, we complete an initial design for review by the client and make sure everything works and connects as it should.

ENGINEERING

Along with shop drawings, all our designs are carried out in-house under the supervision of our own engineers for every single project.

PRODUCTION

Our in-house team of assemblers will build your wall panels, trusses and joists quicker than envisage, getting your project underway and assure you will meet your deadlines.

DELIVERY & INSTALLATION

All our quotes include delivery to site and erecting of the structure by fully trained and experienced installers.

The depth of knowledge within the Frameform team is unsurpassed within the industry with IJM commencing the production of timber frame buildings as far back as 1965 while the younger light gauge steel counterparts are operating within their sector since 1999.

Peter McCaughey

Managing Director

Biography

Having worked in the house building sector, Peter joined IJM in 1982 as Development Manager and worked a number of years in USA, UK and IOM.  From 1990 he was based at head office and became General Manager in mid-90’s and was then appointed Managing Director in 2008.  He has steered the company through its worst period, the recession, to emerge with phenomenal growth.  Peter is co-founder of the Irish Timber Frame Manufacturers Association of which he was Chairman for 12 years up to 2021.

Ihab El Alami

Senior Structural Engineer

Biography

Ihab has extensive experience in certification of off-site building and facade systems and approved most well-known products on the market during his tenure at the BBA and BRE. He has also a well-rounded structural experience in executing medium to large scale projects such as residential properties, hospitals, museums, retail centres, water treatment and power plants.

He is a graduate of the University of Westminster with an Honors Degree in Civil Engineering and Post Graduate Certificate – Structural Engineering – Merit.

Martin McCarthy

Structural Engineer

Biography

Martin McCarthy is a Structural Engineer with ten years of experience working in the rapidly expanding world of off-site construction. Martin specializes in the design and development of cold formed steels structures for both the Irish and UK markets. To date, he has designed some of the tallest light gauge steel structures in Ireland and looks to developing the system for further widescale adaption. He is a graduate of the University of Ireland with an Honors degree in Civil Engineering. In his free time, he may be found hiking/exploring the wilder parts of the country.

Gregory McKenna

Chairman

Biography

Started with the company in 1974 and Gregory trained as an Architectural Draughtsman.  He was subsequently appointed Manager of the Technical Department and, during this time, oversaw the implementation of ISO 9001 Quality System.  He was appointed Operations Director in 2001 and took on the overall responsibility for all production operations. He was appointed Chairman of the Board in 2018.

Peter Kosowski

Operations Manager

Biography

Peter is our Operations Manager. He has been working with light gauge steel frame for 17 years. He has been a Production Manager for 12 years and has been instrumental in material sourcing, procurement and quality control. Peter’s organisational skills have been crucial in implementing our lean solution for manufacturing. Peter works closely with the design team and the site installation crews.

Laura Daly

Finance Director

Biography

Started with IJM in 2001 as Financial Accountant. She left the company briefly from 2014 to 2016 before returning as Financial Manager.  Laura gained her professional qualification as an Accountant with Dunnes Stores in the mid 1990’s and has also since worked in various finance roles in US multinational – National Instruments, and Irish companies Kerry Group and MTM Engineering.  Laura also completed the Enterprise Ireland Management 4 Growth programme while working for MTM Engineering in 2015.

Raymond Hughes

Commercial Director IJM

Biography

Returned to work for IJM in 2015 as Commercial Manager, Raymond has worked within the timber frame industry for over 30 years in various roles including Architectural Technician, Technical Director and General Manager.  He has vast experience in the UK and Ireland and recently completed a postgrad in International Sales Strategy with Enterprise Ireland.

Michael McBride

Operations Director IJM

Biography

He has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years and has held various positions including Joiner, Supervisor, Project Manager, Production Manager, Master Scheduler and Operations Manager.  He has worked for IJM Timber Engineering for 20 years and has spent most of this time focusing on lean principles in the production facility. In 2012, he took up a role as Store Manager for Aldi Ireland, where he ran a store in Letterkenny for 3 years before returning to IJM in 2015 as Operations Manager.

David Monaghan

Biography

Dave has been in the building industry for over 40 years with the last 16 with LGS. Dave started in the industry as a Quantity Surveyor and has held many differing roles for large and small companies in both the private and public sector in the UK & Ireland. Back in 2005, he saw that off-site construction was the way forward and joined Dryform Ltd. in Portumna. Dave is often your early point of contact, accessing your project for LGS suitability and developing the early budgets and estimates.

Technical Positions

 

Potential candidates must possess good communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative or as part team.  Flexible working arrangement for Technical staff once adequate experience level achieved.

Technical Team Leader

Good understanding of Construction & Building Regulations. 

Ability to lead/manage a team in a flexible work environment.

Design Technicians

(Experience in Revit an advantage but not essential)

Role will entail 3D BIM modelling and liaising with Architects, Engineers & Builders

Engineering Technicians

(Experience in Tekla an advantage but not essential)

Role will entail designing walls, floors, roofs and hot rolled structural steel within building.
